What type of information is collected and how?

I will only ever ask for the essential information required for the type of interaction you initiate. 

When completing purchases, responding to enquiries or arranging returns, there are details required from you. For example, you name, address and email. These are requested so the orders or enquiries can be processed and actioned. When you provide such information it is recognised that you consent for this data to be used as per the contact / transaction type.

It is important to note that your Internet Protocol (IP) address used to connect your computer to the Internet is automatically provided. Through Wix.com, who host my website, I am provided with site related analytical data. Examples of this being site visit data, page interactions and duration details etc.

How is the personal information stored? What security is in place? 

PATKAI ART is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides me with the online platform that allows me to sell my products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.  

 

All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by my business PATKAI ART adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Online transactions are electronically encrypted to ensure that your financial data is safe and secure; you may use your chosen payment method with confidence. I use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology, the most widely used data encryption coding system to ensure secure eCommerce transactions. If your browser does not accept the SSL technology, you will not be able to proceed with your purchase.

The standard contact method is via email, unless you request an alternate contact method and it has been agreed.

All communication with you is limited to the following - unless agreed otherwise:  

• To confirm your order (all sales have automatic confirmation email)

• To confirm your order has been dispatched (all orders have an automatic shipping confirmation email)

• Responding to direct contact requests / messages

• Resolving an order issue / return

• If I encounter any issues processing your order and need to update you

Customer Reviews:​

All customers are welcome to leave reviews of the products purchased, this is something you can do voluntarily should you wish to. Reviews can be left via my online message service on my 'CONTACT' page or via email.

Reviews displayed on the site will include the customer's first name (never their full name), date of review and review itself. If a photograph is provided as part of the review, please be aware that this photo may be used as part of the review.
