Overview :
- Made from Jesmonite, an eco resin which is non-toxic, water based and sustainable.
- This piece uses a copper mica powder to create the metallic distressed effect.
- The smooth finish often resembles concrete or stone.
- Please be aware that in some instances small air bubbles can be seen on pieces due to the nature of the material.
- Each piece is handmade, so while items will be similar, none are exactly the same.
Sealant:
- Each Jesmonite piece of mine is sealed with a 100% natural wax.
- This provides a level of water resistance, as Jesmonite is naturally porous, absorbing liquids, scents and stains. Please note that this is resistance, the piece is NOT waterproof.
- The wax helps reduce discolouration.
Care Guidance:
- The wax does wear off over time, more quickly if the piece is handled frequently.
- In light of this, best practice is to periodically, depending on usage, apply new wax layers to ensure protection and water resistance.
